Kendals was established in 1982 by Terry Brazier, who was trained in London having attended the London College of Furniture.

The company, which originally began in Terry's garden shed with just two customers, now operates from a large purpose-built base and serves more than 6,500 valued customers.

The company emblem is an acorn, originally carved by Terry to illustrate that the company is small enough to care and large enough to cope with a wide range restoration requirements.
