Colours

All of our mountboards are acid-free, ensuring they won't chemically react with paints, inks, or materials they come into contact with. This also means the bevelled edges will remain crisp and clean over time — unlike lower-quality boards, which can yellow and deteriorate.

We offer a wide selection of surface finishes in vibrant colours, deep blacks, and classic whites and creams to suit any style or artwork. Additionally, you can choose from three core colour options — White Core, Black Core, and Cream — allowing you to add a subtle but impactful edge detail that enhances the overall presentation of your framed piece.

Shape & Precision

Our state-of-the-art CMC mountboard cutting machine allows us to create bespoke shapes and detailed designs with exceptional precision. Whether you need custom cut-outs for medals, badges, or uniquely shaped artwork, we can tailor your mount to suit your exact requirements — including shapes like hearts, ovals, and more.

In addition to cutting shapes directly into the mountboard, we can also engrave decorative bevelled grooves to add texture and depth. This level of customisation ensures a professional, polished finish — perfect for both personal and commemorative displays.

Layering

To enhance your artwork and create a greater sense of depth, we offer double, triple, and even quadruple mounting using up to four layers of mountboard. This layered approach not only adds visual interest but can also introduce a subtle or bold pop of colour to complement or contrast with your piece.

We also stock mountboards in various depths to accommodate a wide range of artwork and three-dimensional objects, ensuring the perfect fit and finish for every framing project.

Float Mounting

You may choose to present your artwork or photographs on top of the mountboard rather than beneath it — a technique known as float mounting. This method creates a clean, contemporary look that draws attention to the piece and adds a sense of depth.

For an added touch of softness and artistry, we also offer the option to carefully hand-tear the edges of your artwork. This technique is particularly popular for Giclée prints, as it enhances their texture and gives a beautifully subtle, organic finish.
